Vickie Bajtelsmit is Professor Emerita of finance at Colorado State University, where she also formerly served as director of the Master of Finance Program and department chair. Her research and teaching interests span topics in finance, insurance, real estate and financial planning. She is author of Personal Finance, 2nd ed. John Wiley & Sons and assistant or associate editor for the Journal of Pension Economics and Finance, Financial Services Review, Financial Planning Review, Benefits Quarterly and Journal of Finance Service Professionals. 

Bajtelsmit was chair of the writing committee that produced the National Standards for K-12 Personal Finance Education, which was released in 2021 by the Council for Economic Education and the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. She earned her Ph.D. at the Wharton School of Business and J.D. at Rutgers University.
