  • Fellow of the American Educational Research Association, a select group of top scholars internationally.
  • Board member of the Association for the Study of Higher Education; WASC commissioner; and panel member of the National Academy of Science's National Research Council.
  • Received national awards for her editorial leadership of the ASHE report series; from ACE for developing a leadership development program for women in higher education; and from the National Society for Experiential Learning for her commitment to service.

Adrianna Kezar is professor for higher education at the University of Southern California and co-director of the Pullias Center for Higher Education. An expert on change, governance and leadership in higher education, she explores through her research the change process in higher education institutions and the role of leadership in creating change.

Kezar joined the USC faculty in 2003 and previously taught at the University of Maryland and The George Washington University. She has several years’ administrative experience in higher education as well, both in academic and student affairs. She earned her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Michigan.
