Andrew Gellert is an Economist at the TIAA Institute. He is working to understand household retirement choices and the evolution of retirement planning as more retirees look to solve the problem of decumulating their wealth. Andrew previously studied aging, dementia, and cognitive interventions during a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he obtained his PhD in economics from Drexel University, where he worked on tobacco taxation and price gouging in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. He also taught several courses in microeconomics.
