  • Fran earned a B.A. in economics and communication from UC San Diego, and a Masters in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland.

Fran Mastry is a Quantitative Analyst at the TIAA Institute. She assists with research on household retirement plans and lifetime security. Before joining the TIAA Institute, Fran taught economics as an adjunct at Central Piedmont Community College, and helped higher education institutions improve their occupational safety and environmental sustainability programs. She has received training at the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity.
